How to Prepare for Picture Day
HOW TO PREPARE
We want every student to feel confident and comfortable on Picture Day. Every family and student is different—and that’s exactly how it should be! Whether your student shows up in a bow tie, soccer shorts, or a fedora, we celebrate those choices.
That said, here are a few simple tips to help things go smoothly and make sure you get the photos you’ll love:
What to Wear
- Wear what feels like you.
- From bow ties to hoodies, we’ll photograph your student as they show up.
- Avoid large logos or writing.
- It can pull focus away from your student’s face.
- Keep it simple and comfortable.
- Intricate outfits can be challenging for younger students to manage independently.
- Clean faces and clothes.
- Volunteers may help, but we suggest double-checking before school.
***Speak with your child. If a student comes to set with a hoodie on, we will photograph them with the hoodie on. Speak with your child about your expectations.
Hair and Grooming
- Aim for a clean, natural look—whatever feels most like your student on a regular day.
- Glasses can stay on!
- We offer instant glasses-glare removal if needed.
What to Bring
- Just a smile - No extra items are needed!
- Your school will coordinate all logistics—no paperwork or payments required on Picture Day.
AFTER PICTURE DAY
- You’ll receive an email or a communication from your school when your student’s gallery is ready.
- With the gallery link, you can view photos, make your yearbook selection (if applicable), and place your order.
